About us

Hands for Africa was born from the conviction that no childhood should be wasted because of where it was born. We work directly on the ground with African communities to guarantee food, health and education for the children who need it most.

Our story

We started in 2018 with a single community kitchen in Senegal and volunteers who traveled on their vacations to help. Today we operate in four countries, work with full-time local coordinators and account for every move.

We didn't want to be just one more NGO. That's why from day one we have published audited accounts, real photographs of every project and a monthly impact report.

Where we work

Senegal
School canteen and scholarships in Saint-Louis
Burkina Faso
Pediatric health center in Ouagadougou
Tanzania
Clean-water wells in rural Mwanza region
Kenya
Nutrition program in Nairobi neighborhoods

How we work

Radical transparency
Every dollar raised is tracked publicly. We publish monthly reports and audited accounts.
Zero middlemen
We work directly with local coordinators. No umbrella NGOs, no hidden fees.
Measurable impact
We don't sell good intentions. We sell results: children fed, vaccinated and in school.
Dignity above all
We don't use images that portray children as victims. Their stories are told with respect.
